SLedge Hockey initiative

Bringing sledge hockey to teams around Edmonton

Sledge hockey is a fast paced sport and uses the same rules as stand up hockey! Players sit in a sled and use small sticks with picks at the end to propel themselves across the ice. Although it is one of the most popular Paralympic sports, it is currently not very accessible to the general population. ​

Our goal is to give different teams in Edmonton and surrounding areas the opportunity to try sledge hockey.

Teams include minor hockey, ringette, team bonding, teacher PD days, etc. 

We will provide all the necessary sledge hockey equipment (up to 28), along with coaching and instruction (introduction to sledge hockey, drills, and scrimmage).
